Fig Plant not prouducing fruit and leaves have black spots on them

 

Type of Plant (if known): 
Turkish Brown Fig

 

Symptoms of Plant Illness (please try NOT to diagnose your problems yourself): 
Black spots on leaves, no fruit or flowers producing

 

Soil Type (e.g. sandy, clay or loam) OR Potting Mix Type: 
Potting mix of compost and all purpose fertiliser on it.

 

How often do you water the plant:
Every 2 day

 

How many hours of sunlight does the plant get each day:
Over 8 hours

 

What type of plant is it:
Turkish Brown Fig Tree

 

How long since you planted it:
6 months ago in a pot

 

Have you fertilised? If so, with what and when:
Yes, all purpose fertiliser

 

Is the plant indoors or outdoors: 
Outdoors

 

Is the plant in a pot or in the ground: 
Pot

 

What other treatments have you given the plant: 
Nil

Answer: Hi Julie, Plant the fig in a sunny spot in the ground. Give it two cups of lime and water it in well. Then do not overwater it; figs like a dry Summer. Figs hate fertiliser too so go easy on it. It should recover by oct/november.  Don
