Don’s Tips: Use A Quality Potting Mix

Last time we looked at the need to buy top quality potting mixes.  But what is wrong with the ‘El Cheapo’ mixes?

Well, cheap potting mixes tend to fail because:

1. They contain far too little fertilizer, stunting plant growth
2. They tend to dry out and become impossible to re-wet
3. They often lack enough air in the mix which tends to kill plants’ roots
4. They have less quality control in the composting manufacture process.

We all want beautiful and EASY CARE pot plants – you don’t get this with an ‘El Cheapo’ potting mix.

So pay a bit more for potting mixes and have more fun while you save money.
