Nature of problem: 
I have a strawberries and a fig tree that require repotting. id like to plant them in a large raised garden bed, with the strawberriesbeneath the fig tree. will this work? Will they grow well together?

 

Type of Plant (if known): 
black genoa fig, unknown strawberry

 

Symptoms of Plant Illness (please try NOT to diagnose your problems yourself): 
nil

 

Soil Type (e.g. sandy, clay or loam) OR Potting Mix Type: 
garden bed soil from landscaping supply

 

How often do you water the plant:
twice weekly in summer, less freqently in cold/rainy weather

 

How many hours of sunlight does the plant get each day:
At least 8

 

What type of plant is it:
fruit tree and groundcover

 

How long since you planted it:
fig is 3 years old, strawberries 1 yr

 

Have you fertilised? If so, with what and when:
sporadically with seasol

 

Is the plant indoors or outdoors: 
outdoors

 

What other treatments have you given the plant: 
both well mulched
