Can you please help my mum and me workout what type of tree this is? It is located south of Newcastle. It blooms Sept-Early October before all of the pink bulbs fall and green leaves are then produced. The owners who have now moved believed it was an Oriental Cherry Tree. Although it also looks like a pink Jacaranda? Please help 🙂

Answer: Hi Rachel,  I’m not positive since there are no closeups of the flowers, leaves or fruit, but I suspect that it is Tabebuia rosea, the pink trumpet tree. They are related to jacarandas.  Don
