But you must purchase FRUITING pomegranate varieties. Most pomegranates sold in plant shops are the flowering ornamental varieties which either produce small, inedible fruit or none at all!
The true fruiting pomegranates come into plant shops in winter with all of the other deciduous trees and shrubs. That is the time to buy them.
Try some pomegranate fruit from a supermarket between April & October to see if you like them.
You can use the fruit in drinks, in salads or in desserts.
Pomegranates are among the easiest of all fruits to grow at home.
