Today we’re looking at a few useful tips:
For instance, it is a great idea to paint all granny-flats and outbuildings to match the house. It looks good.
If you have a design motif on the house or front fence or gate with swirls etc, duplicate the pattern in the paving to join your house or fence with the landscape.
Keep driveways subtle. You want your house and garden to take people’s breath away – not the driveway.
Always, always, always make your front door obvious and welcoming. There is nothing worse than a house that has no obvious front entrance. Have a path leading to the door and maybe a garden or pot plant at both sides of it.
Also install a door bell or chime and put a number on your house out the front. One day that number could save your life if the firemen or ambos are searching for your place.
When you go home tonight look at your place as it you’d never been there before – what will you notice?
