frangipanis

Pink and white frangipanis

I absolutely adore frangipanis. They are excellent plants. They come in a huge range of flower colours, are deliciously perfumed and are as tough as old boots – i.e. they don’t die.

They need full sun all day and a warm position in the garden – maybe against a north-facing wall.

The only weakness with frangipanis is the dreaded disease Frangipani Rust. This causes yellow mottling on top of the leaves and brown furry areas underneath.

Eco-fungicide has just been registered for use on rust diseases on plants, so it may be worth trying on frangipanis. This is a very very safe spray, which is more or less baking powder.

Try it and let me know how you get on. Email [email protected]m.au and I will pass on your results to everyone else.
