Rhapis palm:

Good points:

·      Great indoors

·      Tough

·      Fabulous for shady areas

·      Doesn’t grow too tall

Parlour Palm & Cascade Palm

Good points:

·      Excellent where low growing plants are wanted – grow less than 2m.

·      Very attractive

Kentia Palm:

Good points:

·      Beautiful foliage

·      Lovely arch of the fronds

Bangalow Palm:

Good points:

·      Beautiful trunk

·      Dead leaves break off plant – self cleaning

·      Can be used in flower arrangements

Chinese Windmill Palm

Good points:

·      Good for cold areas such as Canberra or Hobart – will take snow

·      Tall growing – up to 12m

Bismarkia

Good points:

·      Very fashionable

·      Gigantic leaves

·      Unusual silvery grey foliage
