I have multiple travellers palm along my back fence, which are 7m – 8m tall. My back neighbour has an in ground pool next to fence. Will the the root system destroy the fence or even harm the pool?

Answer:

Hi Wayne,  Hard to answer as you haven’t said how far the plants are from the pool, nor did you send me any photos of the fence etc. In general, Travellers Palms (which are not palms by the way) don’t do much damage to well constructed in ground swimming pools, but they can drop some mess into pools nearby.
