Nature of problem: 
I have a 6mtr high what I believe is a Dawsons river weeper callistemon it has three main branches one smaller can I remove the smaller and too it out as getting straggly

Dawsons river weeper collistemon

None

 

Soil Type (e.g. sandy, clay or loam) OR Potting Mix Type: 
Sandy/low grade soil

 

How often do you water the plant:
Established nearby sprinkler 3times a day 4mins during dry season

 

How many hours of sunlight does the plant get each day:
Approx 12

 

What type of plant is it:
Collistemon

 

How long since you planted it:
10 years

 

Have you fertilised? If so, with what and when:
In early years

 

Is the plant indoors or outdoors: 
Out.

 

What other treatments have you given the plant: 
A light prune when needed to clear to walk under
