I am a keen, amateur bonsai student and would like to bonsai a lemon scented gum. Can I germinate from a seed or strike a cutting?

Answer:  Hi Bill,  It would be a challenge. Gums are hard to manage as pot plants….But why not give it a go! If you google Corymbia ‘Marion’ you will read about the shorter, multi-trunked form of the lemon scented gum. This would be the form to try to get seed of. Maybe the Australian Cultivar Registration Authority in Canberra could help you find seed.  Good luck.  Don
