Nature of problem: 
How do I stop our mangoes getting burnt from the sap when we pick them. They go black if the sap gets on them

 

Type of Plant (if known): 
Mangoe

 

Symptoms of Plant Illness (please try NOT to diagnose your problems yourself): 
skin turns black when i pick them

 

Soil Type (e.g. sandy, clay or loam) OR Potting Mix Type: 
Good – rich red

 

How often do you water the plant:
rainwater

 

How many hours of sunlight does the plant get each day:
12

 

What type of plant is it:
bowen

 

How long since you planted it:
15 years

 

Have you fertilised? If so, with what and when:
none

 

Is the plant indoors or outdoors: 
outdoors

 

What other treatments have you given the plant: 
nil

Answer: Hi Cheryl,  Sounds like anthracnose, try spraying with eco fungicide – this is very safe it is more or less Baking Powder.  Don
