Hi, l was wondering if you can help me out with this plant, we have growing in our front yard. All of a sudden this flower has just shot up out of the centre and seems to keep growing.

Hi Rachel, The photo is not very detailed, it seems to be an Agave – try Googling it. These plants are succulents, they need full sun and neglect. Some time after flowering, the old plant fades away and is replaced with several baby plants around the old central bit.
