Other Comments:
if problem is caused by too little light, could it survive being transplanted to a northerly position ? I already hava a “little gem” magnolia & a “port wine” magnolia in this position doing well.

Answer: If they get 5 hours sunlight, they should flower very well. Yuletide is a fabulous variety. Do not fertilise for a year or two and see how they go. All should be OK.  Don
