not really a problem, but this year my ornamental plum has cross pollinated with my Santa Anna plum and the ornamental is full of fruit. Is it edible? raw or cooked or both?

 

Type of Plant (if known): 
I don’t know what the variety of plum, it has a green leaf and is a standard and it get masses and masses of whitish pink blossoms in spring.

once a week in summer

the tag said standard prunus only

It’s was 7 years ago

Is the plant indoors or outdoors: 
outdoor

What other treatments have you given the plant: 
it gets seasol a couple times per year

Answer: Hi Lynne,  Ornamental plums do produce fruit. How good they might taste is another thing. I have never cooked or eaten them, but let me know how they taste if you do try.  Don
