Nature of problem:
I have a potted Jacaranda tree in my backyard, it was purchased about 12 months ago and has shown good growth doubling in height, at first it was getting too much sun and leaves were burning and branches started to drop off, i moved it to the back garden where it gets limited sun but it has continued dropping branches from the ground up ever since, the top growth is green and healthy but branches continue to drop been happening over long period, also has healthy growth from shoot at base

Queensland weather usually takes care it and i just water if we have had a dry period and soil has dried out.

How long since you planted it:
re potted into larger pot 6 months ago
Have you fertilised? If so, with what and when:
slow release osmocote last when repotted, also water with thrive once a month
Is the plant indoors or outdoors:
outdoors
What other treatments have you given the plant:

Answer: Hi Chris, The sun didn’t burn the leaves: jacarandas love full sun. The pot is way too small and to compound matters, I suspect that your watering on hot days was not good enough – hence the leaf burn. Either pot it into a way larger pot or plant it in the ground in full sun. Good luck, Don
