No Perfume on Port Wine Magnolia Flowers

Nature of problem: 
I have a Michelia figo Port Wine Magnolia in a pot, it is about 1.5mt high in good lust condition with plenty of flowers but no perfume.

Flowers have no perfume.

 

Soil Type (e.g. sandy, clay or loam) OR Potting Mix Type: 
Sandy (Potting Mix)

 

How often do you water the plant:
Twice a week in Summer, Once a week in Winter.

 

How many hours of sunlight does the plant get each day:
3-4 hours

 

What type of plant is it:

How long since you planted it:
2 years

 

Have you fertilised? If so, with what and when:
Osmocote

 

Is the plant indoors or outdoors: 
Outdoors

 

What other treatments have you given the plant: 
Nothing

Answer: Hi Mike, Michelias CRAVE SUMMER WATER so you must use Seasol Super Soil Wetter plus watering at least twice a week. Their best perfume is at night. Healthy, happy plants have the best perfumes. Good luck,  Don
