This is shaping up to be a loooong, hot summer ahead, so you should get onto your lawn right away.
The weather is so warm in most areas that lawns sprung into growth a month early.
Fertilise all lawns now with a slow release lawn food – preferably with a wetting agent: Scotts Lawn Builder in the blue packet is excellent.
Keep the water up to the lawn if the weather stays dry.
Remember the basic lawn rules:
• Never park a car on a lawn – not even to wash it.
• Put paths in lawns to avoid worn goat tracks forming.
• But most important of all: Neatly trimmed edges make even a crook lawn look good.
Hooroo! Don.
