Normally, the advice for right now is to fertilise lawns with a high nitrogen fertiliser to get one last green flush of growth.
In my opinion that would be a mistake this year. With the strange weather patterns over the last 6 months or more, using a high nitrogen fertiliser now on lawns could lead to dreadful lawn diseases breaking out.
Fungal leaf diseases in particular will be rampant.
So … Instead of the usual lawn foods, I recommend using Thrive Flower and Fruit. This has a more balanced formula containing potassium that helps to fend off diseases.
I know that this sounds weird but do use Thrive Soluble Flower and Fruit plant food for your lawns right now. Dilute it in a watering can and sprinkle it over the lawns.
