When to Garden
The days are very hot at this time of the year, so try to avoid gardening, lawn mowing and digging in the middle of the day.
Get up early in the morning to do heavy but silent work – do the noisy work like lawn mowing or leaf blowing after 5PM in the evening.
For early and late work, it may have health benefits not to apply suncream so that your body makes Vitamin D3. But if you are working for over ½ hour in the middle of the day, use 30+ sunscreen.
Water your plants whenever you like – if the plants are dry – water them immediately.
It is a myth that watering during the DAY in summer causes leaf burn. So water whenever you like.
