Why have a garden or backyard?
To me, a garden or backyard is a place to play or relax in. If you agree, here are some ideas of things to create in your backyard.
What about an outdoor fireplace to provide warmth while you sit outside or eat outside with friends during the cooler months?
Even an outdoor pizza oven may provide warmth for the family.
Can I suggest something weird??
Well, what about a sunken garden? If you excavate a square or circular area, you can create a cosy area out of the wind to sit around with friends. You could put an outdoor fireplace there or even the pizza oven.
You should dig it out 1 to 1.5m deep and then use the excavated soil for leveling other garden areas – OR to provide soil for raised vegie gardens.
Think outside the square!
