Don’s Tips: Best Climbing Plants

Climbing Plants

Climbing Plants

I love climbing plants. They do such useful things!

As they spread over a trellis, climbers can screen off nosy neighbours.

Climbers can soften the look of an ugly shed or fence.

Climbers festoon garden arches or decorate railings.

But which are the best climbers? Here’s the lucky “7”:

  1. For sheer practicality, toughness and perfume: the Star Jasmine

  2. For incredible flower colour: bougainvilleas

  3. For tropical colour in the tropics: Allamandra

  4. For soft lushness and long flowering: the native Bower vine (Pandorea)

  5. For cool climate elegance: wisteria

  6. For the perfect pergola covering: Ornamental grape

  7. For cold climate heart stopping flowers: clematis.

Try some climbers, they are so good!

But keep them under control – some might take over!

Hooroo!
