Don’s Tips: Tenderising Meat

So many people like tender meat, yet most cheaper cuts of meat tend to be a bit tough.

Of course you can put these meats in stews such as curries and this tenderises them really well.

But you can use some fruit to tenderise meat but using them as a marinade.

Kiwifruit, pawpaw (aka papaya) and pineapples all contain natural enzymes that tenderise meat while they add superb flavours as well.

Never marinate for longer than 12 hours, but marinating is a very good way of turning cheap cuts of meat into tasty tender meals.

The plants that work that magic in marinades again are:

– Kiwifruit

– Pineapples and

– Pawpaws (aka papayas)

This is such a simple and cheap method for creating great meals.
