Norm Mitchell loves building miniatures including trains, trucks and ships. Included in his collection is a replica Kenworth, 18 wheeler truck. It took Norm two years to build the replica and he borrowed a real Kenworth and measured it so he could make the model completely to scale. It is worth about $40,000 and travels up to 80km an hour and was built so Norm could transport his miniature trains around with ease. It can pull one tonne of weight and is 6.7m (22′) long. Norm has sold miniature trains, lawn mowers and other models to theme parks and private owners. He has also run charity days for children with cancer from Camp Quality. Norm loves to make the models but once they’re finished he likes to clear the decks and move onto a new project.
