Dwarf and Mini-Lop Rabbits

Dwarf and Mini-Lop Rabbits

One of the cutest pets for kids are the Dwarf and Mini Lop rabbits.

These are tiny rabbits with floppy ears.  The mini lops are even smaller than the dwarf lops, weighing only about 1.6 kg.

Like all rabbits, lops eat rabbit pellets with some fresh vegies like cauliflower, spinach, corn on the cob and he proverbial carrots.

Diseases like myxomatosis and calcivirus can kill pet rabbits, so you need flywire to keep mozzies out and vaccination for the calcivirus.

There is a bit to know about rabbits and he details are on the Burke’s Backyard website so go to burkesbackyard.com.au & search for dwarf lop rabbits.

One details is that, like humans and budgies and all animals, when kept indoors, due to lack of vitamin D3, the rabbits’ immune systems fail and they get sick.

DIRECT sunlight creates a healthy rabbit or human.

Get a rabbit for the kids.

Hooroo!
