On this week’s program Don and the film crew had a bit of fun playing ‘the name game’.
As promised, here is a list of all the presenters who regularly appear on Burke’s Backyard:
Don Burke – Host. Don Burke is a horticulturist and animal lover & breeder whose interests include science, particularly genetics.
Maurie Burke – Pug & co-host. Maurie is 12 months old. His star sign is Pisces & his interests lie in sleeping & eating, with a particular interest in bones.
Scott Cam – Builder, Backyard Blitz. Scott owns and runs his own building company and has worked in the building industry for 20 years.
John Dengate – Wildlife expert. John is a wildlife writer & media presenter as well as media spokesman for the Environment Protection Authority.
Dr. Garry Egger – Health professional. Garry is Adjunct Professor of Health Sciences at Deakin University and consultant to Government and World Health Organisation.
Fiona Fearon – Road test reporter. Fiona is a breeder of Old English Sheepdogs and a dog judge.
Jackie French – Inventive Gardener. Combines fun and usefulness in the garden.
Rita Hill – Arts and Crafts. Rita is the mother of 2 children. Her interests include art & design.
Geoff Jansz – Chef. Long recognised as one of Australia’s leading chefs, for many years Geoff hosted the well-known program ‘What’s Cooking’. He also has a wicked sense of humour.
Dr. Rosemary Stanton OAM PhD – Nutritionist. Rosemary is known around the world for her depth of knowledge in the fields of nutrition and its relationship to health.
Peter Valder – Botanist. Peter was for many years a lecturer in Botany at the University of Sydney & has long been respected internationally as an expert in his field. He has many books to his name, particularly those that relate to China.
Dr. Rob Zammit – Veterinary Surgeon and animal lover. Rob has a great commitment to animal welfare and assists many groups in this field. He also has a passion for scuba diving.
