not in direct sunlight; near balcony door so indirect light all day

 

What type of plant is it:
aechmea bromeliad

 

How long since you planted it:
a month

 

Have you fertilised? If so, with what and when:
no

 

Is the plant indoors or outdoors: 
indoors

 

What other treatments have you given the plant: 
moved its position to get more indirect light indoors

i have an aechmea bromeliad which i bought when in was flowering a month or so ago. the bract looks as though it has come to the end of it’s flowering life – it has turned brown and started to thin. can i cut it off or pull it out?

 

Answer: Hi Ksenia,  The fllower stem can be cut off or left – whichever suits you.  Don
