Don’s Expert Answers: We plan to build a French provincial home at an irregular block with narrow front inside a court place. The challenge is to provide space for play (4-14), nice relax back yard for a garden addicted, full time working mum with 4 energized kids. Limited back yard for mum (big fan of rose up to 50 species), need to organized front drive way, pathway for kids playing, I had a cubby house for young one but not in this home. Any suggestion. I need to have a low maintenance garden to release her.

Don’s Expert Answers: i would like to plant something like bamboo ( non invasive ) in a planter box at my home in the riverland of south australia , we have temperatures from minus 4 to + 45 deg c . Will bamboo be ok in this situation , or could you suggest something that will form a screen type cover . the planter box is approx 4m long x 300mm wide

Don’s Expert Answers: I want to espalier a Camellia sasanqua ‘Something Special’ along a south east facing brick wall, the wall is 8 mts long and 1.5 mts high. There is a garden bed (40 cm wide) in front of the wall which is edged with cement and stone. There are Agapanthas growing in the bed which i want to remove and plant the Camellia to be trained along the wall. I am worried that the bed may not be wide enough for the Camellia’s root system. I do not want to remove the edging.
