Soon the grass will stop growing and it’ll be time to put the mower to bed for winter.

But mower fuel goes stale over winter leading to problems with starting the mower in spring.

This problem is easily fixed by adding some fuel stabilizer to your mower’s fuel.  Fuel Stabiliser stops the fuel from going off, making your mower much easier to start in spring.  Sachets of stabilizer cost around $10 at mower shops and some service stations.

In the meantime, set the mower up a notch to let the grass stay a bit longer over winter: this helps the lawn to stay strong and healthy.

Also clean the mower after it cools down and wipe it with oil, or spray with WD40 to help keep it rust-free.
