LED Lights
Probably the best electrical innovation to come along in the last 20 years is the LED light.
These lights use very little power – far less than quartz halogen lights or old fashioned light bulbs.
LED lights in torches or small devices have revolutionized portable lighting – the greatest advance ever! If you go camping or need a blackout emergency light at home or for any similar use, LED lights rule supreme.
Many people are currently stuck with the once-trendy small quartz-halogen lights. These get very hot and waste lots of energy. In many cases you can just swap the quartz-halogen light for an LED one without altering the light-fitting or the transformer.
Buy one light and see if they interchange easily.
LED lights are awesome when used as garden lighting too.
Perhaps ask at a lighting specialist shop for some advice if you are not sure of what to do.
