Don’s Tips: Lawn Foods

Lawn Foods

Now is the time to rev up your lawn.

Lawns need regular fertilising to achieve good results so use a slow release lawn food like Scotts Lawn Builder now. Buy a fertilizer spreader from the local plant shop or hardware store to ensure an even result.

Now is the time to sow grass runners in those bare patches in the lawn.  Simply use your spade to cut slashes about 3cm deep in the lawn. Use the spade to lever these cut marks open and then slide a lawn runner into them.  Leave the green grass leaves visible above the soil and gently close the slits in the soil by treading on them.

3-4 weeks from now your lawn should be looking pretty good!
