Citrus Fertilising

This has been a fairly rugged summer for many plants with very dry and very wet periods constantly following each other.

Many plants are very run down, especially citrus trees and many food plants like tomatoes.

Citrus need fertilising twice a year – a full dose in August and a half dose in February – i.e. NOW.

Use citrus food, rose food or Dynamic Lifter – they are all much the same. You can also use these on your tomatoes too.

Use only half the recommended dose and water it in well. Every week that is hot and dry represents a threat to the developing fruit so water each citrus plant for 30-45 minutes twice a week.

Hooroo! Don.
