Bitty Gardens

Nothing looks better than a glade or field of the one sort of plant. This looks so much better than a “bitty” garden where there is one of everything.

So, what about a field of jonquils or daffodils? – maybe 50 bulbs planted together in one area. The spring display will be amazing.

Or a field of violets. The old fashioned perfumed violets are hard to get these days, but try googling “buy sweet violet plants”. These are the ones that grandma used to grow.

Or what about a field of poppies? (You plant these in spring). And yes, you can get Flanders poppies for remembrance.

Bird lovers could also consider a wild field of birdseeds that will supply food for wild finches and parrots as well as food for your own pet birds.

Think outside the square!
