Hebes
Hebes are native to the Southern Hemisphere, principally New Zealand. They are mostly evergreen, low growing shrubs to around 1m (3′) tall. They have dense, handsome foliage (sometimes variegated) and attractive flower spikes in colours ranging from white through to pink, purple and blue. Flowering time is late spring to autumn. Hebes are very hardy plants, and they’re particularly good for planting in coastal areas because they tolerate salt laden winds. They will grow in most parts of Australia.
