Stylish Photo Albums
Use these step by step instructions from Rita Hill to jazz up your old photo albums. You’ll be surprised how stylish they can look!
You will need
- fabric
- cardboard (Rita used cardboard with a decorative, marbled pattern)
- spray adhesive
- strong craft glue
- scissors
Step by Step Instructions
- Measure and cut the fabric to cover the album. Allow enough fabric to turn over the edges.
- Measure the inside of the cover and cut two pieces of cardboard, one to fit each side, to conceal the turned fabric.
- Spray adhesive on one side of the existing album cover and the wrong side of one side of the fabric. Stick the two together firmly.
- Trim the excess fabric from the corners and cut slots for the spine.
- Apply some strong craft glue to the inside edge of the fabric, then fold the edges over. Spray a little adhesive onto the top of the edges inside the album, spread some glue onto the wrong side of one of the pieces of cardboard and stick the two together firmly.
- Stick the fabric to the other side of the album cover. Glue the other piece of cardboard inside the cover as before.
- Trim and glue the spines and tuck the fabric in for a neat finish.
