Tropical Plants

It’s time to plant tropical summer fruit trees like avocados, mangos, guavas and citrus.

Yes, CITRUS are tropical fruits originating in tropical southern China through to Malaysia. They love to be planted right now! And don’t forget the Australian native FINGER LIME – it’s awesome.

Mangos grow so well now too. And there are excellent varieties that taste better than the store bought ones too.

There are some lovely guavas too. You should buy some fruit and taste them before you buy a plant.

And lastly avocados make great backyard trees. There are smaller varieties like Wurtz if you are short on space.

Anyway, NOW is the time to plant tropical fruits. Maybe even a lychee tree.

Hooroo!
