Denis Walter, singer and popular Melbourne radio announcer and his wife Annette, are opening their garden for the third year in a row for charity. This year the money raised is for Multiple Sclerosis. The large garden features a swimming pool in the backyard surrounded with areas in which to sit, relax and enjoy the garden. There are 210 roses including ‘Golden Touch’ and ‘John F Kennedy’ varieties as well as rhododendrons, camellias, clematis, azaleas and a potted herb garden. Garden statues are scattered throughout the garden adding a touch of magic.

Denis and Annette Walter’s garden, 352 Shannon Avenue, Newtown, Geelong, VIC, 3220 is open on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November 1998 from 10am to 5pm. Entry costs $4 per person, afternoon tea is available. The proceeds go towards helping people suffering Multiple Sclerosis.
