Recycling

Don’s tip: it’s possible to recycle all sorts of organic matter (that’s anything that was once alive) in your garden. Add leaves, lawn clippings, kitchen scraps and even torn newspaper to the compost heap. Large items such as prunings and tree branches can be mulched and put directly on the garden. Don showed a garden mulch made from mulching up tree branches. Added to this were some termite mounds which had been broken up and were no longer active. It is even possible to recycle a small family pet. If you do have the misfortune of loosing your small pet dog or other animal, bury the pet in the garden and plant a tree or shrub in the spot. The plant will be a lasting memorial, nourished as the pet decomposes.
