Nature of problem: 
Want to plant acmena smithii ‘goodbye neighbours’ as a privacy screen / hedge against our fence, however 2x 100mm PVC water drainage pipes run under the ground in the area. Does this plant have invasive roots which could crack / ruin the pipes? Am getting conflicting advice. Thank you.

Answer: Hi Susan,  All lillypillies have water-seeking roots. Unless the pipes leak, these plants will not trouble them. If you had good plumbers all should be OK.   Don
