Jim Pike visited the Delicate Nobby Camping Ground, near Crescent Head on the north coast of New South Wales, to catch up with Len Blacklow and his corkscrew collection. Len has a collection of 650 corkscrews and 550 bottle openers which he has amassed over the past 28 years.
The collection started from Len’s love of drinking wine and began with one corkscrew that his father-in-law had been given by his mother, who owned a wine bar in Sydney. The oldest corkscrew in the collection dates back to 1855.
