Sprayers

Sooner or later all people who grow plants will need to spray areas of the garden – even if it is with safe organic sprays like Eco Oil for small insects or Eco Fungicide for fungal diseases.

So you need a sprayer. I have tested many sprayers and most I find to be less than wonderful at spraying, plus difficult to use and clean out. They also don’t last well and they tend to clog up.

One sprayer that I tested stood out: this is the Hills 5 litre Industrial Sprayer. It may be available at your local nursery or hardware store – I paid around $36 for mine. The Hills Industrial Sprayer is really good at spraying Coopex.

Coopex is a talcum powder based Permethrin spray. Permethrin is the safest of the various contents in household fly sprays. But it repels many insects or arachnids for up to 4 months: it kills flies, mosquitos, spiders, bed bugs, carpet beetles, silverfish, lice and mites.

The Hills Industrial 5 litre sprayer plus Coopex is the perfect pairing. This is not an ad: this is a genuine recommendation.
