Whether we like it or not, the automobile is an important part of our busy, everyday lives. When it comes to the problem of where to keep the car, we can either go for the traditional garage, or perhaps something a bit more stylish.
Don looked at a very interesting French Riviera-style design for a carport. The frame is made from metal, piping and wrought iron with a little mesh on top. Star jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides) and two climbing roses (Rosa ‘Sea Foam’ and R. ‘Devoniensis’) have been planted at the base of the frame, and eventually they will scramble and twine over the entire structure. Just imagine how charming the carport will be when the climbers come into flower and fill the whole area with their fragrance!
