Native Lichen

One of the things that you’d very easily miss when you walk through the Australian bush is some of the very beautiful lichens. At a glance it looks like a bit like snow on the ground and it grows in more or less full sun. Lichens are a symbiotic relationship between a fungus and an alga. There’s many different types of lichens in Australia which grow on rocks, soil and trees.
