The photo is of the vines under the verandah when I first purchased the home in mid 2016. The leaves turned red and then fell off around or just after winter 2016, and, they never grew back.
There are no leaves under the verandah now and I dont know what to do to help promote new growth of leaves.
The trunk of the vine is very thick which I think means its been there a long time.
Hi Rosie, I am really struggling with this question. You didn’t tell me what type of soil you have; you didn’t tell me how often you water it; you didn’t tell me how many hours of sunlight it gets; and there is no photo of how the plant looks now. The plant is a tree begonia, but there is greenish growth above it which is too blurry for identification. At a wild guess, the poor plant died because you failed to water it. It is most likely now beyond help. I simply don’t have enough info to say any more. Don
