strawberry field flower

Hi there! It's me again. I was wondering if it's possible to grow the strawberry field flower like the name suggests. I would like to grow them on a large open field on my property, near Heathcote Victoria. The rain is sparse altough there is a dam and a few raintanks. The soil has not been touched by anything but the usual wildlife. Or if there is a alternative plant that could give me the same effect. A field of red flowers. Any advice backyardiens?
