Jodestar Forum newbie - be nice! Posts: 1 Location: Registered: July 2008	Garden bed-rising damp Posted 163 days ago i am new to this whole gardening world but i have recently re-done my front garden and now have the bug to do more. i am looking at building a limestone garden wall along the back of my house. now i have been told of rising damp. my house is only 2 years old. if i lay the garden bed with black plastic will this be enough to stop rising damp from occurring?	0 0 Alert moderator

misstrish Forum stalwart Posts: 60 Location: FN QLD Registered: May 2008	RE: Garden bed-rising damp Posted 162 days ago Hi Jodestar, I think you need to also make sure excess water dosn't enter other ways, overhanging drain-pipes, and over watering. you may need to line the inside, and have your drainage holes located so the water dosen't soak.
