Dividing Cymbidium orchid

Will it hurt if my very crowded orchid is repotted and divided now whist it has three spikes about to flower.
help please

I'm not an orchid grower but I doubt I would try repotting if I wanted to see the flowers open. Maybe someone with more knowledge of orchids will have another solution for you.

Wait until it finishes flowering and then remove from the pot. and divide and put into pots to fit the size of divisions. You can buy cymbidium mixes from garden centres and department sores Big W etc.Even the old back bulbs can be potted but it takes a few years or more to grow them.
Make sure you trim off any old looking roots and don't plant in too big a pot they like to be a bit crowded. Best of luck.
