Outdoor timber treatment

Posted 683 days ago

I'm after some advice on suitable oil for a couple of timber benches. I've been told boiled linseed, tung or neetsfoot are o.k. My main problem is would these come off on clothing or do they cure after a while? I would prefer not to use estapol-type stuff. Any advice welcome. Cheers.

I purchased some 'Feast Watson outside furniture oil' from Bunnings. It wasn't cheap, but I don't remember the exact price. The blurb on the tin says that it is a protective, penetrating oil finish for timber furniture. Sand the timber back if it is weathered, then brush it on and it soaks in.
