Wood Rot

Posted 696 days ago

Hi All
I have some wood rot in a window frame in one corner, I found where the water was coming in and have fixed that.
What I would like to know is what the best brand of wood filler is; we purchased one that never went off.
I removed all the rotten wood back to solid wood.
Then filled it with wood filler which seemed at the time not to mix very well.
Now I have to dig this out and replace it with I hope something better.
So has anyone got any ideas as to what I should be using ?
Thanks
Ray

Hi Ray,
An epoxy filler such as Megapoxy would do the job properly and would outlast the existing timber and the whole house for that matter.
