RE: SUN PROTECTION FOR BROMELIADS AND ORCHIDS Posted 851 days ago Yes, you could sew the two densities of shade cloth together. Make a frame to nail or staple the shade cloth. You will find your house a pleasant place to be for yourselves as well as the plants. |

RE: SUN PROTECTION FOR BROMELIADS AND ORCHIDS Posted 851 days ago Hi hothouse I am on the sunshine coast so what you feel weather wise so do I. Just an idea where money is concerned. I am not mad on broms but I do have orchids and ferns which feel the heat just as much. I had a layer of shadecloth on a frame over mine and wasn,t happy with this so I put up another layer again. I don,t know about down where you are but I went to the recycling shed at the dump and found some shadecloth for very cheap you may be lucky. Also you probably know anyway but to keep the middle of broms full of water ...Hope this helps |

RE: SUN PROTECTION FOR BROMELIADS AND ORCHIDS Posted 849 days ago As an alternative to shadecloth you could consider sail or pergola. |
